Opening its doors in 1927, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California has been the site of many movie premieres and three Academy Awards ceremonies. Hundreds of celebrity handprints, footprints and autographs are cemented in the concrete of its forecourt.
Even a famous landmark such as Grauman’s, however, cannot escape sponsorship, it is now called TCL Chinese Theatre, named for a Chinese electronics manufacturer.
Located on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Mister Rain was easily able to find the large pagoda, as well as a parking spot right in front of it. While he got out of the car to take some photos, I was looking at our itinerary on my phone to check where our next stop was. Suddenly someone yelled “Boo!” in my open window, causing me to scream. Turning my head toward the cause of my racing heart, I came face-to-face with Spider Man. “I think I peed my pants,” I said. A man’s normal voice, like I was talking to our mailman, replied, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do that.”
You would think his spidey senses would have told him it was a bad idea.
