While out running errands yesterday with a friend, I heard myself saying about my husband:
“He isn’t going to rehab tonight because he’s working the polls.”
My straight-laced, teetotalling husband is not working a 12-step program nor is he collecting dollar bills while wearing 7-inch stilettos. He is taking back his heart health via cardiac rehab and going above and beyond his civic duty by manning the voting machines every Election Day.
