Have you seen the documentary, Free Solo, about rock climber Alex Honnold’s quest to perform the first-ever free solo climb of a route on El Capitan (“El Cap”) in Yosemite National Park? I absolutely loved it and watched it several times. What Alex did is truly remarkable.
Piper, too, has been known to climb great heights. Recently he scaled El Dad without the use of ropes or other protective equipment. He showed great strength and concentration, making the ascent in record time. I may have watched Free Solo twice, but I never tire of watching Piper do his thing.
