Is life a mountain or a beach to you? The age-old question, right? What about summer and winter? Which do you prefer? I hate being hot so I am not a fan of summer. I love when it snows. Wanting to experience more of winter before spring arrives, my husband and I headed to the mountains of Pennsylvania. (Mountains, depending on where you live, is relative.)
In Jim Thorpe, we headed to their overlook. It was fenced off for construction but Mister Rain was able to get some pictures of the view.
Driving around the town, I noticed an open area, covered in white. I asked my husband if it was an open field but it was actually a frozen body of water, Mauch Chunk Lake. There was one lone man ice fishing. It was just the scene I was hoping to experience.
Sure, winter can be cold. But there is beauty out there in the months after the holidays that will warm you right up.
