Piper is a rock star when it comes to keeping his feathers in good condition. Sure, we give him a shower each week, “Wet Wednesdays” (not that kind of website, people), but Piper spends a good part of his day preening the feathers all over his body. He is so committed to the practice that when a feather falls out to make room for new growth, he often holds it and cleans it as if it was still attached to him.
For the record, I spend a good part of my day watching Piper. And I take a bathe everyday.
