Piper loves a plastic bag so a 310″ long , 7″ wide strip of plastic packing material sends him into a frenzy. I wrap it all around his play area (aka most of the living room) so that he can push and pull it until it falls to the floor. It is a big job for a little guy but Piper is up to the challenge. I love his happiness, his spunk and his persistence to finish the job.
People often ask me what I get Piper for Christmas. The truth is, nothing. Every day he has lots of toys made just for birds, purchased at the largest bird store in the country, handpicked by his dad and me based on his preferences. And every day Piper reminds me to never give up and that there is joy in the simplest of things.
