Even the most fervent control freak (not naming names), from time to time, dreams of help with the tasks of living and working. I could not have been more appreciative for the assistance Piper gave me one day while I was writing stories.
Piper’s revisions were insightful and intelligent, greatly compensating for the fact that it only allowed me to have one hand free to type. Then there is his flare for the dramatic, not surprising based on his performance every day that his snack does not appear by 3 pm.
Once he felt his work here was done, he moved to my shoulder and began to preen himself. Back to ten fingers on the keyboard, I continued on, knowing Piper was there to lend a hand.
