One evening while on vacation out west, I set my alarm for very early in order to catch the sunrise in the beautiful setting I found myself in.
Watching out the floor-to-ceiling windows, dawn began to lift the veil of darkness, revealing that which is lost to us every night. The gradual brightening occurred without the sun’s dramatic appearance out of its bed, tucked in at the horizon. Morning had arrived without fanfare, yet the new day that accompanied it was no less remarkable.
There doesn’t have to be a spectacular sunrise announcing the precious gift we have been given. It was here. And so was I. What could be more wondrous than that?
