While putting together our itinerary for the week, I came across a few photos of the Utah State Capitol, yet I was not prepared for the real-life grand home of the state’s government. Its neoclassical architecture is more DC than SLC.
Situated on Capitol Hill in Salt Lake City, the building was designed by architect Richard K.A. Kletting. Opened in 1916, it is constructed of Utah granite and topped with a copper dome. Legislative chambers, the governor’s office and extensive historical art are housed here.
I cannot speak to the performance of the administration, but if what is going on on the outside is reflective of what is happening on the inside, it think that Utah is doing beautifully.
