My DNA Breakdown: 3% Tastykake

Posted on October 9, 2017October 9, 2017 By Sister Rain

Depending on where you’re from, you may not have heard of Tastykake, a line of snack foods founded in 1914 in Philadelphia. Click here for their website.

I grew up on these products and one of the last things my mom wanted before she died was a box of their Powdered Sugar Mini Donuts. When she was born in Philadelphia, Tastykake had been around for twenty years and she loved them until the end.

I eat yogurt every morning for breakfast, trying to start my day off right but every once in awhile,  my roots must be fed.

No, it’s not healthy. It’s heritage.
