#heartfeltgratitude

Posted on April 6, 2016 By Sister Rain

Today we received unexpected news from my husband’s cardiologist that his heart pump number has improved. Two and a half years after a virus attacked his heart we thought that this function had plateaued. We were wrong and never so happy to be so. He has done great since the diagnosis and immediate treatment began in October 2013 but hearing the increase was a heartsong to our ears.

He has an internal defibrillator but this was a different kind of shock, proving that relief, happiness and joy can be just a heartbeat away.
