Built in 1775, this meeting house on High Street in Mount Holly, New Jersey played a significant role in the Revolutionary War, being used by the State Legislature when the British captured Trenton. In addition to weekly Quaker meetings, the building continues to serve its community with programs, plays, art shows and workshops.
It was difficult to get a good photo of the meeting house due to a steady flow of cars going in and out of the parking lot. I wasn’t sure if I could use the image I captured until I enlarged it on my iPad and saw the banner.
