Royally Blue-tiful

Posted on June 14, 2017June 15, 2017 By Sister Rain

I don’t see colors, really, except certain shades of blue, especially royal blue. I will be walking somewhere, everything muted, then catch a flash of color: someone wearing a royal blue hat or shirt. Not being able to see Piper, our orange-fronted conure’s (a species of parrot) beautiful orange, blue and green feathers is something I’m always saddened by when someone admires his striking plumage.

Not seeing colors is terrible. It absolutely is. If I dwell on it it can really mess me up. But when I saw this photo today, and the spectacular blue sky, I have decided if there is only one color I am able to see, this is the best of all the possibilities.
