Such A Fine Sight To See – Part 10

Even if you don’t know much about Seattle, you are probably aware that they are the location from whence Starbucks came. Their love of coffee does not end there, with small Fotomat-like (click here) drive-up coffee spots all over the surrounding area in parking lots, on corners and along the side of the road.

On our most recent trip last November, we picked up where we had left off the year before (click here), discovering more of these fascinating little structures.

Auburn, Washington

Good Vibes Espresso
As the photo above the story title shows, nothing says “wake up!” like a building that is shaped like a coffee cup, its colors bright and cheerful.

Java Junction
This particular coffee place has an actual inside for customers. A novelty in he midst of all the novelty. All aboard!

Bonney Lake, WA

Bigfoot Java
If I am going to meet Bigfoot, I would like to do it fully caffeinated.

Port Orchard, Washington

Cove Coffee
Paddleboard your car right up to the drive-thru menu board and order yourself a coffee to cove.

The Gingerbread House
No ginger. No bread. But coffee they’ve got.

Gravity Coffee
A more regular coffee cafe than a Fotomat, but still providing a drive-thru option, Gravity Coffee’s tagline is “Stay Grounded.” I had learned of their specialty iced coffee offerings online and had to try their Salted Caramel Macchiato. I loved it so much, I returned a few days later. My husband’s White Chocolate Mocha also required a repeat.

Jump Start Java
The prefect name for all our batteries.

Stormy Espresso
I am just going to say it. Was there ever a better adult entertainer name than Stormy Espresso? But the excitement here is limited to beverages, including the holiday special Mistletoe Mocha.

There is the Land Of The Lost, The Land That Time Forgot, the Land Down Under, the Land Of Milk And Honey. There is a Land made of Candy.

And then there is the Land Of Coffee, with its tiny drive-thru structures live in harmony.
