Are you a light-turner-on’er? A light-leaver-on’er? Or are you a light-turner-off’er, the one who goes around the house turning out lights in empty rooms? I am something else (not the first time I have heard this); I am a light-no-turner-on’er.
With my visual impairment I have very little light perception. It always looks to me as if the lights are set very low, even in a bright room or outside in full sun. If I am in a room by myself, I often don’t turn the lights on. It doesn’t always help the way I see if I do, so I don’t. I can’t tell you how many times my husband has entered a room where I am sitting in the dark and asked if I want the light on.
