I read a quote that said “The reason why you feel so connected to your pets is because they were originally meant to be your children but there were no human bodies available when they incarnated so they came through in the form they could, just to be near you in this lifetime.”
Even for someone with a tagline that includes “a lot of heart,” this seemed a bit whoo-whoo to me. Never having planned to have human children, it is not as though instead of a little one made up of Mister Rain and me I was given a soul covered in feathers.
Do I believe that Piper was meant to be with me and my husband from the moment he hatched? I do. Too much had to happen for us to meet for it not to be some cosmic predetermination.
Although the above quote is a lovely sentiment, it doesn’t really matter how Piper got here. All that matters is that he is.
