Like any self-respecting Type A personality, each day I make a To Do List for the next day. My first stop is always my calendar, then I fill in other projects and tasks that require my attention tomorrow. I had gotten a haircut the week before and somehow both my hair stylist and I completely missed checking the length of my bangs. Washing my hair the day after my appointment revealed a grave error and either the visually impaired, depth-perception-lacking-fringe-owner make the repairs or they go back to the salon. A call was made and “Bangs” was added to my iPhone calendar for 12:15 pm. The “Blood” entry was a reference to my upcoming donation to the Red Cross later that same day. Preparing my To Do List, I added “Bangs” and “Blood” to my rundown for the following day.
Not a name for a hair salon (although I did offer it) but there was an instant when I thought this might be the new name of this site. It’s a realistic description of my life and, quite possibly, yours. Or the tagline could have been “A Little Blood, A Lot Of Bangs”. Thankfully, a cooler, more beautifully coiffed Sister Rain head prevailed.
