The day before the Purple Heart was supposed to pick up items I had for donation, I realized that I had not received a confirmation since scheduling the appointment. I began Googling “confirm Purple Heart pickup”. I glanced through the results then chose one to learn what it suggested. There was a phone number to call but I hoped to find an answer online quicker than waiting on hold on the phone. Returning to the other options, I found a post that talked about timeframes and deliveries. There was also an article about a tracking number. Huh?
I suddenly realized that all these search results were about a MILITARY Purple Heart being sent to you and what to do if you did not receive it.
Umm . . . no.
When I told my husband about this, he simply said, “Blind Girl Problem”, which is a title given to instances that occur in my life now that never would have when I was fully sighted. I don’t know anything about the shipment of the military decoration Purple Hearts, but Blind Girl Moments have no problem being delivered to me on an almost daily basis.
