What’s your favorite sandwich? I live in the land of hoagies and cheesesteaks, and I do enjoy both. I would tell you, though, that leftover turkey from Thanksgiving or Christmas on white bread with mayo and salt is my top pick.
Of course there is the workhorse: peanut butter and jelly, the childhood staple that accompanies us into adulthood with varying degrees of frequency, always there for us as a quick lunch option, late-night snack or convenient dinner eaten while leaning against the kitchen counter. No matter when or where, I always seem to end up with sticky hands but it is worth it!
Piper loves jars and bottles. When he saw the Smuckers on the table where we both sat he couldn’t get down from my shoulder fast enough. And this is how I experienced a different kind of PB&J: Piper Bird and Jelly.
It’s the perfect combination of sweet and savory. Sure, it can be a little messy at times, but it never disappoints.
