No, I do not have dandruff. What I have is an orange-fronted conure (a type of small parrot) who has enjoyed a couple of pistachios on my shoulder. Even though I knew it would require cleanup when he was done, but I felt bad; I had just been in the pantry for something and Piper saw the bag of one of his favorite treats so I had to let him have a few.
Sure, I could have taken him back to his mansion (we never call it a cage) to enjoy his bonus snack, but he had been quite content sitting with me while I worked before I had checked for an ingredient I would need to make dinner later that day.
Besides, Piper’s happiness is head and shoulders above any mess he could (and does) make.
