Weary-noying

Posted on March 16, 2010March 13, 2017 By Sister Rain

My husband’s grandmother passed away a few weeks ago and today he and I spent the day at her house helping his family clean out and up her house so it can be put on the market for sale. Obviously, if I were working, I probably could not have taken the day off to help so I am grateful that I could.

As I’ve mentioned before, the job search is never far from my mind and as soon as I got home, that’s what I did. I found one position that I’m going to apply for which is better than the no positions that have been the norm of late.

I’m not gonna lie to you, friends. I am tired! Or am I weary? m-w.com says that the meaning of “weary” is “exhausted in strength, endurance, vigor or freshness”. OK, I am definitely weary. I love that word and don’t use it near enough! The next time someone asks you how you are, say “I am weary”. I dare you. I double dog dare you.

OK, now I’m just annoying. Weary and annoying. I will try to keep both these attributes out of my cover letter AND resume when I apply for the job. Wish me luck!
