Chute!

Posted on February 13, 2017 By Sister Rain

In 1970 the book, What Color Is Your Parachute? by Richard Nelson Belles was first published. As I began to consider my career options ten years later, my teachers recommended this guide for job-seekers as a great tool to assist me in the process.

Now, thirty-five years later, this book came bubbling up to the surface of my memory, as I struggle to find a new purpose in life. I’m working hard in this new year to discover what’s next for me. As I remembered this title from all those years ago, I was struck by the thought:

How do you determine the color of your parachute when you can’t see color?
