Fall-ing back an hour is always an adjustment, not just for us parronts, but our feathered friends, too.
Piper gets a snack every day at 6 p.m. The time can vary a bit depending on what’s going on, but believe me, he knows when it’s snack time and has no problem letting us know he knows. He makes a sqooing noise, a cross between a squawk and a coo, a sound he only makes at snack time. “6 p.m., people! Chop, chop!”
And now it’s 5 o’clock to us but to him it’s still 6:00 p.m. Piper is not governed by clocks or the time on an iPhone, instead his internal timer is dictated by the laws of nature. He will become accustomed to the change and we will follow his lead. After all, everyone else may follow Daylight Savings Time, but in this house, it’s Piper Time. 24/7. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
